Bringing you beautiful iridescent rings handcrafted in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
After graduating from Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture two years ago I have been lucky enough to follow my dreams. In 2015 I entered the accessory/jewelry design field as a 3D modeler. Using the skills I learned at school I was able to start my own jewelry business through Instagram where I quickly amassed a following. Since then, I discovered a new jewelry industry that continues to reinvent itself daily. Over the past few months I have been gearing up to present the next big thing to the jewelry world.
As an architect, I looked into cutting edge materials with which to build rings. Carbon fiber seemed to be the go to material, but I wouldn’t be bringing anything new to the table with something like this. Also, while carbon fiber is beautiful, it definitely leans toward the masculine side. I wanted to find something that would appeal to both men and women. That’s when I stumbled upon an iridescent infused resin, a new material as of 2017. It’s lightweight, jaw dropping-ly beautiful, and the different color ways attract both sexes.
When I first saw the raw material, natural phenomenon flashed through my mind. How could one look at this material and not envision the northern lights, an ocean, or a galaxy on their finger? This is where Parallax Jewelry began.
